Hey everyone, here is my entry:

My dog's Name: Lou
What I love about him: He wouldn't hurt a fly. I once rescued an injured bird outside, and as he approached the bird, he sniffed it's beak, then went about his business, not too concerned with it.

Story: As a pupply, I couldn't find my dog anywhere, after running upstairs and downstairs, he ended up being inside the open dishwasher, up the back licking the plates  .

Hi everune

My dog's name is Bronwyn, which is Welsh for white breast, which as you can see she has.

There are lots of things I love about her, especially when she lies back in your arms when you are in bed and snuggles up to you like a small furry human. Or when my partner gets out of the bed to go to the bathroom and when he returns she has got her head on his pillow with her body under the duvel, looking at him as if to say; "Well you moved, my space now, fit in around me if you please!!"

My story

We have another two dogs, one is quite elderly and is a lab cross, who doesn't want to play games anymore and the other a Jack Russell, Daschhound cross, who is quite a lot smaller than Bronwyn. She rags him about like a toy and even though he complains loudly, she ignores him and carries on.

on this particular night it was wet and windy outside and I had let the dogs out for a pee, and a while after they had come back in she started barking urgently at the door. My initial reaction was to get annoyed as she had not long gone out. But she kept barking, so I relented and opened the door again, only to find little Hector standing outside in the dark and the cold. She was telling me that I hadn't counted up properly when I had let them in, and he was the wrong side of the door.

So it just goes to show that although she normally shows him no respect, she didn't want him to be stuck outside, getting wet and cold. Ahhh, sweet!

Thanks for entering Lesley, and welcome to All Things Beagle. Bronwyn is beautiful, and it's awesome when we see the another beagle/dog/animal showing compassion towards another. It can teach us humans a thing or two...
You are officially on the list! Thanks again for joining.

Hi everyone,

My beagles name is Lexi, one thing i love about her is that she so loving and always snuggles up on the sofa when the soaps are on.

My story; at least 4 times a week i take her for a long run along the side of the canal next to the nature reserve in Sprotbrough, Doncaster. I always let her off the lead and she runs in the water, barks at the ducks and howls at the fishermen (which im sure is very annoying) any way she loves it and always gets covered in mud and canal water. Last week we descided to take my sisters beagle Tia, who is her best friend, down the canal. usually the girls are very well behaved and tend to stick to the path and close by. This day though they had other ideas and descided between them that they would go for a little adventure of there own. Myself and my partner were following them as they trotted off then all of a sudden they looked at each other and started to run. Out of site but by no means out of mind, they must have run 2 miles as we tried to keep up with them. Finally we arrived back at the car and the girls were both sat there with there tails wagging waiting for us, covered from head to toe in mud and sludge. We on the other hand were exhausted and also filthy after hunting them down for half an hour. We couldn't help but laugh and they slept all the way home and for the rest of the afternoon, after a much needed bath i might add. We wouldnt ask for anything less, shes trouble but never fails to make us laugh.

Gabriella you have a very beautiful beagle family...and your story reminds me of many memories I have had with Bosco...and it's good to laugh, with beagles and their mischeviousness, if you don't laugh, you'll cry :)

I've added you to the competition list. Thanks for joining!

my dogs name is lily she is 12 wks old, what we love about her is that she is so gentle with the children and loves to play with them,  the other night when the children were in bed she went missing and i found her in the girls room sniffing for them to go and play. She knocks at the door to be left in and when she wants to be fed she drags her bowls up and down the dog run making loads of noise, she is the best pet ever and we all love her as if she was another member of the family we are looking forward to getting her a playmate when she gets a bit older and a bit more sensible (fingers crossed). We love u lily.

My Beagles name is Copper.

I love the way he flopps over onto his back in front of me and waits for me to rub his belly every night after he eats dinner.

My funny story, well, I couldn't agree more with "it's good to laugh, with beagles and their mischeviousness, if you don't laugh, you'll cry". My boyfriend came to pick me up from work one night shortly after we'd adopted Copper from the pound and he was very upset. He said "You won't believe what YOUR dog did". The "YOUR dog" giving it away that it was bad. He said that he had stopped at a Lowe's store before coming to get me. During the 10 minutes he was in the store Copper had  gotten mad at being left in the truck and had pooped in the seat - his seat - and he had sat right in it not realizing it was there until it was too late. He proceeded to lift the back of his shirt up and turn to me and say "but I don't think I got very much on me". I know it's wrong, but all I could do, then and the entire ride home, was laugh hysterically at what I can only describe as a pocket full of Copper poo. Thankfully even he can laugh about it now.:D

Hi everyone. My name is Jan and my Beagle is Louie. He's 2 years old. We love him to bits. He is such good company and so loving. He has a really cheeky personality.

For my son's last birthday we bought a donkey pinata (probably spelt that wrong!) and hung it in the front room. Louie was about 18 months old at the time and was terrified of it. He kept running into the lounge and barking at it and running away. He did this for about 40 minutes. When it came time to bash the poor donkey to bits, we shut Louie out of the room but it didn't stop him barking. Once the donkey had been knocked down (it proved very difficult to break) we let Louie back in. He ran up to the donkey, grabbed it and ran out with it, trailing sweets everywhere. He took it outside and ran around it in circles barking at it. Every now and then he would nip at it and run away then come back and start running around it again. Needless to say, the kids thought that was much more entertaining!

Awesome story Jan, my dog has a similar relationship with a hot water bottle...from the first time he saw it he would bark, and if we brought it to him he would run away...I've added you to the draw, draw will take on 21 November...
